FAQ
How long will my lips look this good?
Lip blushing treatments are considered semi-permanent and will look great for one to four years, depending on lip genetics, lifestyle, and skin type. Cosmetic tattoos are designed to fade over time, so clients are recommended to schedule color refreshers every 1-2 years. The more touch ups, the longer the pigment will last.

One session is all that is needed. A touch up may be necessary if the treatment does not yield ANY results (does not hold pigment). the more color touch ups, the longer the lip blushing will last and the more dense the color will appear. Please see our Lip Blushing Touch Up Policy here.
How long does the procedure take?
The entire procedure takes about 2 hours including consultation, numbing, and color selection.
What should I do prior to my lip blushing treatment?
Please review the pre-care information by clicking here: Lip Blushing Care.
How will I look immediately after? What is the healing process?
Your lips will be a bit swollen and the color will be bolder than expected for the first couple days. The color will slowly lighten during the full healing process. Please review the post care information here to learn more about the healing process: Lip Blushing Care.
What should I do after the procedure?

How will my brows look in the future?
During your visit, we will mix pigments to ensure we achieve the desired lip color (feel free to bring your favorite lipstick as a reference!). Most of our clients’ desired lip shade will stay true to the color 2-4 years (length of time depends on the individual's lifestyle, skin type, genetics, and iron deficiencies). Over time, the color will naturally fade, so to keep your lips looking their best, a touchup/refresh treatment is recommended every 1-2 years. It is important to remember that results will vary from client to client.
Is the studio sanitary and safe?
Yes, a safe environment is our #1 priority. We only use single-use, disposable needles, and supplies. After every client, all needles are discarded safely and stations are thoroughly disinfected. We follow health department guidelines for sanitation and licensing is posted within the salon.

What factors will affect my cosmetic tattoo?
Following the pre-care and post care instructions is a MUST!
● Susceptibility to cold sores. Please read about how to safeguard yourself from developing cold sores here.(insert link)
● The regrowth of skin cells: The longer the regeneration takes, the longer the pigment holds.
● The speed at which the skin absorbs the pigment: The slower the absorption, the longer the pigment will hold.
● The selection of color: Some colors fade quicker than others.
● The location of therapy: Enhancements to the face, as an example, fade faster as a result of constant direct exposure to UV rays.
● Bleeding throughout the procedure: Any bleeding during the tattooing treatment will lower the amount of pigment absorption. Alcohol, as well as particular medications, work as blood-thinners and must not be taken a day or two before and after your procedure.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
You must be 18 years or older to receive any service at Revive Beauty Studio. If you are under the age of 18 (a minor), please have your parent or legal guardian call to make an appointment and the parent must be there physically at the beginning of the appointment to sign paperwork.
Can I get tattooed if I am pregnant or nursing?
As a safety precaution, we do not perform cosmetic tattoo procedures on pregnant or nursing women. But we look forward to seeing you after you have the baby and are not nursing.
